"Young and beautiful Ganymede is tending to his father's sheep when he is spotted by Zeus, Lord of the Sky, who descends in His eagle form Aquila, and sweeps the boy up through the clouds and into the Crystal Halls of Olympus.

"Upon their arrival, Ganymede is designated Water Bearer of the Gods and granted eternal youth and the gift of immortality by Zeus.

"Enraged by her husband's actions and unable to kill the young lad, Hera, Queen of Olympus, conspires to have Ganymede's entire people, the Trojans, massacred in a brutal war.

"Enraged by her husband's actions and unable to kill the young lad, Hera, Queen of Olympus, conspires to have Ganymede's entire people, the Trojans, massacred in a brutal war.

"Her fury subsided, Zeus decides to raise the young immortal to the stars as the constellation of Aquarius, the Water Bearer."
